Hobbycraft Easter Craft Hamper Review

Easter falls on the 27th March this year and I always like to do something with the girls in the run up to this day. This usually means we do lots of craft activities and an Easter egg hunt which our twins really enjoy!

This year Hobbycraft have very kindly sent us an Easter hamper full of lovey Easter products. 


This includes:

Happy Easter wooden sign
Icing pens
Wafer daisy
Easter bonnet
Plastic fillable eggs
Foam crown kit
Easter chicks in nests decorations
Ceramic egg painting decoration kit
Polystyrene decorative eggs
Large brown ready to paint egg

The first activity we did was to pain the ceramic eggs. 


You can also paint the box which was lots of fun too! 
The ceramic egg painting decoration kit includes four ceramic eggs, paints, a paint brush and some ribbon that you can use to hang up the eggs when dried. Each egg has a small hook in the top so you can easily thread the ribbon through.




Whilst the girls painted their eggs, I decided to paint the ‘Happy Easter’ sign.


Who says these things are just for kids! I love painting and crafting just as much as they do so I was keen to get involved too! I used the paints from the ceramic egg set which actually came out really well on the wood. The colours were pretty bright and there was enough paint for all of the eggs and the sign!


The next activity we did was to decorate the Easter bonnet. Only one was included in our hamper so I did go and buy another so the girls could have one each. I poured some PVA glue onto a plate and the girls used the chicks in the nests to decorate their bonnets along with the polystyrene decorative eggs.





As you can see the girls enjoyed decorating them!

We haven’t made the foam crown yet, as again there was only included and I haven’t had a chance to get another one, but it looks like lots of fun and pretty to do.

    Thats a lovely hamper, and great activity. I remember making an Easter bonnet when I was in primary school years ago 🙂

    These craft goodies look amazing. I'll have to stock up as we'll be decorating our bonnets soon too x
