A crazy little thing called love!

April 5, 2016
My husband is a pretty wonderful man. I imagine that’s something that many women may say about their husbands, but when I say he’s a wonderful man, I really mean it. He really is.
I’m actually not sure what I would do without him. Not just because he’s good at fixing things, doing the dishes and washing my clothes and the girls clothes, (yes, really!), but because of who he is as a person.

He’s funny, generous and strong minded. He’s a good judge of character, he’s kind, loving and he makes me laugh. Most importantly though, he makes me happy. I trust his opinion over anyone else’s – mainly because he’s pretty much always right!

He amazes me with his knowledge of random stuff, but he amazes me in other ways too. Like the way in which he looks at our children. I catch him watching them from the corner of his eye and I can see him smiling at them and like when he gives me a hug for no reason.
Sometimes I think I take him for granted. I might be too hard on him at times or maybe not pay enough attention to him, and occasionally he’ll be talking away about something to me and I’m simply not listening to a word he says, but in truth he’s a pretty amazing person.
During the early stages of our relationship, we went through quite a stressful time in terms of being accepted as a couple. It would have been really easy for him to walk away from me, but he didn’t. He stuck by me and he has done so ever since.

I think I was quite lucky that I was able to see him be a dad before we’d had our own children together, as he has three children by his ex. I can’t help, but admire what a brilliant dad he is. All of his children are very lucky to have a dad like him and I really do gaze in wonderment at times at the relationship he has with all of his children.

Not only is he a fantastic dad, but he’s also a pretty superb husband. He listens to me waffling on about rubbish most days, and quite often it really is rubbish! Sometimes I know he doesn’t listen to me, but I keep talking anyway and then I quiz him on what I just said!
He’s supported me in so many ways over the many years that we’ve been together. I’ve had some pretty crazy ideas over the years, yet not once has he told me that they were stupid or absurd. He always believes in me and is there for me no matter what.
I also know I can be pretty annoying and a bit nuts at times, but I think that’s one of the reasons why we work so well together. Of course he can be just as crazy as me at times too!

He’s a brilliant son too. He talks to his mother every day and does her food shopping for her every week. Their relationship is pretty funny. They argue like crazy, but I think in a funny sort of way that’s their way of showing one another that they care!

I really couldn’t imagine my life without him. He’s my rock. Actually, he’s a lot more than that. He’s my life. He’s my soul mate and I love him like crazy.
