Vileda Windomatic Review

November 19, 2016

I love my children. That goes without saying, but there are certain things they do that drive me crazy! Leaving the tap running, leaving the lights on etc, but for me the worst one of all is when they leave their sticky finger and hand prints on my windows!

In our living room we have fairly large patio doors that lead out into garden. When the sun shines onto the glass it highlights all of their finger and hand prints. Cleaning it can be a pain!

So when I was asked to review the Vileda Windomatic Cleaner I was eager to put it to the test. Essentially it’s a window vacuum cleaner.

The Vileda Windomatic costs £49.99 and will help you to achieve a streak-free finish after washing windows, removing window condensation, wiping mirrors or cleaning up spills.

It’s really lightweight which is great considering this is a handheld machine. The battery needs to be charged for six before the first use, but it will then give you up to 20 minutes cleaning time which means that the battery will last you for 60 sqm.

When you take the Vileda Windomatic out of the box there is some assembly required, but it’s really quick and easy. You simply need to pop the wiper blade into the top of the unit and you’re done! It just clicks into place. The removable dirt water reservoir can also be removed easily.

Once you’ve put your Vileda Windomatic together and charged it, it’s time to put it into action! The first thing you’ll need to do is wash your windows using a window cleaning liquid. The Vileda Windomatic then works like a hand vacuum to suck all of the dirty water powerfully into its integrated water reservoir. The high quality wiper blade has rubber lips which adapts to the surface meaning you’ll be left with a streak-free result.

The flexible head also adjust by 15 degrees and allows you to vacuum right down to the base of the window and into corners.

The Vileda Windomatic really is easy to use. It’s lightweight, powerful and easy to manoeuvre.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely! 5/5

For the purpose of this review we were sent one Vileda Windomatic. All views and opinions are 100% my own.

This looks handy – I may have to invest in one myself!
