The best places to visit in Thailand
Thailand is one of those countries that immediately brings three words to mind. Exotic, culture and luxury Thailand holidays. There are many regions of Thailand that you can visit. The north of the country borders Myanmar and Laos with the northern most point being Amphoe Mae Sai, Chiang Rai Province. With tourist attractions such as Mae Sai Market, Golden Triangle, Wat Phra That Doi Wao, and Wat Thampla (locally known as Money Temple).
Shopping
Central Thailand is mainly plains and is a huge area of rice farming and agriculture however, don’t let that put you off. If you like shopping, there are plenty of local markets in Bangkok that you can explore including a night market. In addition, central Thailand is home to the Chao Phraya River which is very important to Thailand’s history.
Mountains and Oceans
East Thailand is my personal favourite. Half mountain, half ocean. There aren’t many provinces but there is still plenty to see and stunning locations to visit such as Ko Samed, Ko Chang, Ko Mak, Ko Lan, Ko Si Chang, Bang Saen Beach and more.
Highlands
North East Thailand is another popular destination and features some of the most beautiful northern highlands. Thai Jasmine Rice (Hom Mali Rice) is also grown here and exported all over the world.
Beaches
Finally, you have South Thailand which contains so many beautiful beaches and islands in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. It’s well known tourist destinations are Phuket Province, Ko Samui, Ko Phi Phi, Ko Lipe, and Ko Tao.

Some of the most popular tourist desinatinos in Thailand are Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Chon Buri and Ubon Ratchathani. As well as those destinations mentioned above, Thailand has plenty to offer tourists in terms of experiences.
From history, religion and museums to temples, festivals, islands and beaches. In addition, Thailand offers spa and wellness breaks. So if you’re looking for a relaxing beach holiday either as a couple or family with children, Thailand has you covered. Likewise, if you’re looking for something more cultural, you can’t go wrong with choosing Thailand as your holiday destination.
