New Year Fitness Regimes
January has been and gone. We’re one month into 2017 already and it’s gotten me thinking about how many people have already fallen off of their ‘new year fitness regime’ wagon. I bet it’s quite a few, but there’s no need to be disheartened! You still have plenty of time to get back to it and get yourself into a routine.
All isn’t lost! You just need to dig deep and find some motivation and time to really dedicate yourself to the cause! As a busy mum, finding the time to work out can be a challenge in itself. I work two days a week and also have four year old twin girls to care for.

I also go to spin class twice a week. Once on a Tuesday straight from work and again on a Thursday morning when the girls are in school. As you can see I manage to squeeze in two and a half hours worth of exercise. I’d also like to get back into my running, but I think I need up to up my stamina and endurance first. When I have, I plan to go running in the evening when the girls are in bed so this will probably be on a Wednesday and Friday. I like to keep the weekends free, plus it’s good to have a rest day or two!
I find the best way to get myself motivated for some exercise is to ensure that I’m feeling my best. I like to choose a nice workout outfit. Something usually black, that’s also comfortable. I also use a hairband that’s easy to put in and out. I hate hair bands that rip your hair out when you try to take them out!
Feeling comfortable when it comes to fitness isn’t just for women though. Men also have some options. For those with facial hair having a trim can help reduce the sweat and skin rashes on your face. You might want to check out this article for some ideas: Best Beard Trimmer.
Footwear is also important. I have two pairs of trainers, but I wear them for different activities. My pink pair are for my spin and boot camp classes, whereas my turquoise pair are for when I go running.
So what are you waiting for? Get yourself out there and make 2017 your best year yet!
