When it comes to jewellery, I have a few key pieces that I wear everyday. There’s my engagement and wedding ring of course, plus a birthstone ring with my children’s name and birthstone on. I always opt for silver jewellery that’s quite simple looking.
Lily Blanche recently contacted me to review a piece of their jewellery. Lily Blanche was founded by Sunday Times journalist, Gillian Crawford. They specialise in precious gemstone jewellery and multi-photo lockets.
Four Photo Oval Butterfly Locket
Choosing a piece to review took me quite a while because there are so many beautiful pieces to chose from. I was torn between the garnet vintage heart locket (because garnet is my birthstone) and the four photo oval butterfly locket. In the end I chose the locket.
There’s just something so magical and whimsical about a locket that I couldn’t resist! The four photo oval butterfly locket is £195.00. It arrived beautifully packaged within a few days.
The butterfly locket is presented in a ribbon-tied gift box and comes with a special cleaning pouch to store it in and a branded polish cloth to keep it sparkling. It’s also available in gold, rose gold and white gold vermeil versions. There are also matching pendant, earrings and bangles available.
Personalisation
You can chose what chain length you want: 18″, 24″ or 30″. I opted for a 24″ which is just perfect for me. You can personalise the locket on the Lily Blanche website and add an engraving of your choice if you wish.
The locket is beautifully made and I love the sterling silver filigree butterfly charm which symbolises happiness and transformation.
The locket expands to reveal your chosen four photos. I chose two photos of my children, a photo of my husband and I, as well as a photo of my late mum.
I also chose to have my favourite quote engraved on the locket. ‘All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them’ by Walt Disney.
Final Thoughts
I have to say that I am really happy with the four photo oval butterfly locket from Lily Blanche. When I wear it, I get lots of compliments about how beautiful it is. Even more so when I open it up to reveal the four photos hidden inside! It’s an absolutely beautiful piece of jewellery that will be treasured forever.
