Fabulous Family-Friendly Holiday Destinations: Where To Take The Kids This Summer

July 18, 2017

Summer is here! The weather is improving all the time, the days are longer, and everybody is in a better mood. If you have plans to take a trip this summer, but you’re not sure where to travel next, you’ve come to the right place. Here are some fabulous family-friendly destinations to get you thinking.

Greek Islands

If you’re looking for sun, sea and sand and a little bit of culture thrown in, look no further than the stunningly beautiful Greek Islands. There’s an array of destinations to choose from, and many of the islands boast hotels, which are geared towards families with private beaches, kids’ clubs and entertainment programmes. The larger islands of Crete and Rhodes are the most popular choices, but if you’re after quieter beaches and secluded spots, it’s worth considering Kos, Mykonos and Kefalonia. Look out for all inclusive deals and free child places, which are widely available, especially on the busier islands.

Dubai

You may think that Dubai is a place strictly for adults looking to treat themselves to a luxury break, but Dubai is an incredible location for a family break. The hotels are next-level when it comes to amenities and facilities, and you can even stay in a water park. There are zoos and wildlife parks, a dazzling array of theme parks, you can book a camel safari, and you can swim with dolphins. There are countless beaches, which are safe for little swimmers, and there’s so much to see and do. If you like the sound of fun-packed family adventures, read some reviews and use the Internet and travel brochures to find details of the best Dubai offers. If you have small children, try and wait until the end of the season to save money on flights, hotels, and activities. It’s also worth booking excursions online, as prices tend to be discounted.

Florida

Florida is a bucket list entry for most parents. Aside from the obvious draw of the theme parks and award-winning attractions, the surrounding area is also beautiful, and you can combine adrenaline-pumping activities with chilled out days on the beaches of the famous Florida Keys. If you’re there purely for the parks, compare prices on hotels within the boundaries and those located a stone’s throw away. Most local hotels offer a shuttle service so you can save a lot of money by booking rooms away from the action. If you plan to explore the region, renting a condo is a great idea. Car hire is relatively inexpensive and you can travel around at your leisure. Popular attractions include the Everglades National Park, Key West and Epcot.

Have a look around at possible destinations, search the Internet for deals, and start putting together a rough itinerary. Have a wonderful summer!
