Brilliant Mum Feature: Week 9
Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.

This week our brilliant mum feature is Lisa. Lisa says, “We are a family of four (so far)! Myself, Daddy Dartmoor and our two girls who are aged two and five. They’re happiest when we’re outdoors. We recently moved to the highest town in the national park to really experience the Dartmoor climate, and it has definitely not disappointed. I then became Maid in Dartmoor and started to blog all of our adventures and here we are…!”

Have you always wanted to be a mum?
Yes, I knew from a very young age I wanted to be a mummy. I was always the young girl playing with the babies and other children at family gatherings. I have always loved kids and mine are pretty great too!
How did you feel when your children were born?
Terrified and very tired, my births were both very fast, my eldest had trouble breathing and the first week was very scary. I’m blessed to be able to have children very quickly but this can also be a bit of a shock to yourself and the baby. Both girls are healthy and thriving now and that’s all we could of ever asked for.
What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?
Oh my goodness, this is a hard question to answer as there are so many. Everytime they laugh I feel amazing. They are clever, polite, craetive, happy and full of energy… so far so good!
What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?
There has been some funny talk around why daddy is diffrent in some department’s to us girls. I’m also a bit of a pranker and I quite enjoy winding them up, in the nicest possible way… sneaking up on them or hiding and jumping out is always good fun!
Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?
Honestly YES, I think anyone who says no is probably lying, what they forget to tell you before you have children is that you will never be alone again… NEVER not even for a wee!
What are your dreams and hopes for your children?
Just to be happy, and that they choose mummy and daddy a nice retirement home!
