Brilliant Mum Feature Week 79

October 18, 2018

Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.

If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.

Brilliant Mum Feature

This week our brilliant mum feature is Hayley who blogs at Life as a Butterfly.

Hayley lives in Ascot, UK. She has a 15 month old, and is five weeks pregnant with her second baby. She got married in 2015, and had a Thai-themed wedding with fried cockroaches and tarantulas as bar snacks!! She’s a university lecturer teaching tourism and aviation. Hayley says they travel, LOTS and she recently completed her PhD-2 weeks before baby arrived!

Thanks for taking part Hayley!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?

Yes.

How did you feel when your children were born?

Pretty smooth birth, I felt that my life had a meaning once my daughter was born and that until that moment I had never been ‘complete’!

What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?

Watching how much my baby loves travelling, just like her mummy and daddy.

What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?

When travelling through Costa Rica when baby was 4 months old I had serious bikini issues- one side would fit just fine (after baby fed) and the other side my nipple would be pooping out! Very embarrassing!

Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?

Sleep. I love sleep, she doesn’t!

What are your dreams and hopes for your children?

To see the world and to have a great education.
