Brilliant Mum Feature Week 55
Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.
If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.

This week our brilliant mum feature is Ellen who blogs at E L Feelgood’s Vintage.
Ellen is a part-time blogger from Northern Ireland. Her blog is lifestyle, but with a vintage twist as she just loves vintage! Ellen is married with two teenage boys. Ellen says she loves blogging in her spare time, but her regular job is working with a charity in Belfast. She loves writing, crafting and spending time with her family.
Thanks for taking part Ellen!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?
No. My husband and I were married 10 years before we decided to have children. We wanted to see what our children would look like so we went ahead!
How did you feel when your children were born?
I had two emergency c-sections so the birth of both boys was traumatic to say the least as I had severe pre-eclampsia. My first son was whisked away to a neo-natal unit in a different hospital while I stayed where I was as I was too ill to be moved! My first son was 4lb 4oz when he was born and my second son was 5lb 2oz. They are fantastic boys now and taller than me!
What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?
Changing my outlook and being able to connect to my teenage sons. The teenage years can be tough so it’s so important that we are still connected and talk on a regular basis.
What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?
Falling asleep on the kitchen floor waiting for my son’s bottle to heat up!
Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?
My eldest son, he fed every 2 hours when he was born and it took 1 hour each time to feed him as he was premature. It was a stressful time.
What are your dreams and hopes for your children?
They are happy and healthy and to do something they enjoy for a job.
