Brilliant Mum Feature Week 53

April 19, 2018

Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.

If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.

Brilliant Mum Feature

This week our brilliant mum feature is The Inquisitive Farmwife, who says, “I’m a farmwife! I love to garden, sew, cook, and work on my little homestead all while working beside my husband on our field farm operation! I have 3 beautiful children!”

Thanks for taking part!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?

YES! We were high school sweethearts who married right away. It only took us a few months to decide we were ready to start planning a family. I’ve been lucky to find odd jobs enabling me to be a full-time stay at home mom and wife!

How did you feel when your children were born?

Great Excitement! First one was a breeze, second was an emergency c-section, and third was a scheduled surgery. Just like their personality, the birth was unique to each child.

What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?

Watching them grow, learn, and explore!

What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?

You just have to learn to laugh at the little things. My kids are a great source of enjoyment, and part of that is when we laugh together! It could be over a big goof, or some simple little thing that no-one else would laugh at!

Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?

Absolutely! Teenage years are rough….yes, the terrible 2’s (I personally thought it was the Trying 3’s) were hard in their own right, but dealing with teens is an emotional drain that you will feel in a whole new way!

What are your dreams and hopes for your children?

To be healthy, happy, and secure in their future!
