Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.
If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.
This week our brilliant mum feature is Jordanne who blogs at The Life of a Glasgow Girl.
Jordanne is 25 years old and lives in Glasgow, Scotland. She has one little boy who’s name is Leon (he’s 3, but he’s not Jordanne’s first child. Sadly she has an angel baby who she still holds dear in her heart. Jordanne isn’t married, but she has been with her other half for 6 years, and says; “Here’s hoping next year is the year haha!” Jordanne is currently studying photography and film at college and when she’s not doing that, she’s working on her blog, editing photos and probably watching some mind numbing tv to waste her night with (when I actually she has 5 minutes to herself!). Jordanne says she lives for the weekends where life seems to be care free. She makse sure she has family time together to get some fun activities underway.
Thanks for taking part Jordanne!
Have you always wanted to be a mum?
I have, since I was young I always dreamed of being a mum.
How did you feel when your children were born?
I was over the moon when my little boy was born, after experiencing the loss of a baby a few years prior I was very excited yet nervous to see my little one looking back at me. My labour took 26 hours all in, was hard work and very worrying at the same time. By the end of it I was just glad to have my little one in my arms.
What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?
Seeing my little one grow into his own person with his own personality shining through. Looking at him everyday knowing that he’s mine is the biggest reward I’ll ever have.
What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?
The funniest time has to be when he managed to get into the sudocream…. I walked out the living room for two seconds to come back and find the whole room covered in it, including him! It took days to get it out the carpet.
Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?
There’s situations every other week. Being a mum is the best thing to ever happen to me but not do I find it hard sometimes. I don’t have any other mum friends to talk to about situations or get advice, so I find it quite lonely at times.
What are your dreams and hopes for your children?
I just want him to grow into a decent, caring human being. To be happy and know that what ever he chooses to do in life, I’ll be proud because his own dreams and aspirations are what matter to me.
