Brilliant Mum Feature Week 32

November 16, 2017

Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.

If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.

Brilliant Mum Feature

This week our brilliant mum feature is Rebecca who blogs at Rock and Roses Mama.

Rebecca is a28 year old rock and rosy Mama living in the south coast, sunshiny, Hampshire town of Gosport with her husband and 2 year old son, Jude. She’s passionate about music and loves to go to gigs and festivals when she can (and bring the little man along with her sometimes!).

Rebecca says she has a deep joy for writing, hence starting her blog ‘Rock and Roses Mama’ and she runs that alongside her part time retail management position.

Thanks for taking part Rebecca!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?

Yes, always.

How did you feel when your children were born?

I have immense support from my husband, but as I was the first on my friend circle to have a child it was very lonely at first! I did pick myself up and found amazing Mama tribes that I am super honoured to call my closest friends!

What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?

Being able to learn from my experiences and help and support fellow Mamas not not lose themselves in the overwhelming entity that is Motherhood! Also… the cuddles… my little dude is so so affectionate it is so amazing!

What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?

Oh they usually involve poop don’t they?! I genuinely don’t even know!

Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?

The small man struggles sometimes in public and i think that it is immensely hard sometimes to cope with the tantrums in a public sphere… there is so much judgement and Mom guilt crops in! But then you can’t keep your children inside and never venture outside?! You feel like you can’t win!

What are your dreams and hopes for your children?

I just want my little man to be happy in whatever he does!
