Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.
If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.
This week our brilliant mum feature is Amy from The Smallest of Things.
Amy is 26 years old and lives in Hertfordshire with her fiancé and two children. Amy enjoys reading, baking and getting outdoors!
Thanks for taking part Amy!
Have you always wanted to be a mum?
How did you feel when your children were born?
After my first I was in shock because I couldn’t believe it had actually happened, that the baby in my arms was mine! The second time I was just so relieved it was over and we had the newest piece of our family puzzle!
What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?
Hearing my children laugh and watching them learn. My eldest is due to go to school in September and she is just learning her letters and numbers! I feel so proud every time she gets one right!
What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?
When my daughter shouted out loud “are you having a poo Mummy?” When in a public toilet. Or the time my youngest fell in a bush backwards, like literally what you would see in a film!
Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?
I struggle with OCD & anxiety so sometimes it’s difficult to parent through that. But of course there have been more specific times but I think we block them out!
What are your dreams and hopes for your children?
I just want them to be happy and succeed!
