Brilliant Mum Feature

This week our brilliant mum feature is Hayley from Very Mummy.

Hayley is a married mum of two beautiful girls aged 6 and 2. She works in a primary school and a preschool. In her spare time, Hayley loves to make family memories and blog

Thanks for taking part Hayley!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?

Yes. Ever since I left school.

How did you feel when your children were born?

My first was a breech emergency section, my second was a natural VBAC. Loved both but preferred naturally, the section was hell.

What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?

Just watching them grow up and knowing you are teaching them how to be an amazing mini human.

What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?

There’s so many to choose from, but probably the one they sticks in my mind is being called into preschool because my daughter was smacking other children bottoms and saying what lovely little bottoms they had (obviously copied behaviour from me 😂).

Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?

My youngest has had many health problems which have required many hospital admissions, battling so many health issues is a learning curve especially when my first daughter has had such good health.

What are your dreams and hopes for your children?

Just to be happy, kind, helpful women, as long as they are happy in life. Also to stay close as a family that would be amazing. Some parents don’t have good relationships with their kids when they grow up, but I hope and pray we will always be close.
