Brilliant Mum Feature 111

June 20, 2019

Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.

If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.

Brilliant Mum Feature

This week our brilliant mum feature is Rebecca who blogs at Living with Peas.

Rebecca is a first time mum to identical twin girls and runs a twin parenting website and clothing range! Rebecca is getting married in September this year so is spending her spare time wedding planning.

Thanks for taking part Rebecca!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?

Yes, I always felt like it was what I was meant to do.

How did you feel when your children were born?

I had my twins on my 30th birthday by c section. I had a terrible pregnancy and birth experience which probably led to my postpartum depression but I feel like it’s made my bond even closer to the girls now!

What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?

Seeing the girls begin to bond more and more everyday, the random cuddles they give each other etc. It’s heartwarming.

What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?

I think my first time getting peed on as it’s one of those moments always you expect to happen but are never sure how you’ll react. We all just burst out laughing!

Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?

When my partner went back to work I found two newborns a bit of a smack in the face until I learnt my own coping strategies.

What are your dreams and hopes for your children?

I want them to be super close but also learn how special they are as individuals as well as a pair! I want them to learn that they really can do anything and not trust themselves.
