Barbie DreamHorse Unboxing and Review

When I was a little girl, my sister and I would spend hours playing with our Barbie dolls. They provided us with the chance to use our imaginations to be anything we wanted to be.

We could be astronauts, beauticians, footballers, dancers and vets! We had a huge collection of various Barbie dolls, as well as lots of accessories.

Now that I’m a mum, I’m so pleased to see that my own children love Barbie as much as I do. Every year, M always adds a new Barbie doll to her Christmas list. She has the footballer one, ballerina one, a mermaid one and she has numerous Barbie houses and cars too!

Barbie is one of those toys that I know I can buy because they’ll always get played with. You’ll never find a Barbie doll collecting dust on a shelf in our house! They’re played with every day!

Today I’m very excited that I’ve been given the opportunity to share with you the Barbie DreamHorse. She comes with a horse riding Barbie doll that is kitted out ready to ride with her brown horse riding boots, horse riders jacket and pink helmet.

The brown boots can be taken on and off with ease, as can Barbie’s jacket and helmet. My girls love swapping their dolls clothes around!

Barbie’s arms and legs are poseable making it easy for children to act out various scenarios and to sit Barbie on the DreamHorse with ease.

One of the main things that I love about the Barbie DreamHorse is that she comes with a clip to attach Barbie to the horse. This means that children don’t need to struggle to hold Barbie on the DreamHorse as she can sit on it all by herself!

It’s really easy to clip Barbie on, plus you can place her feet in the stirrups and her hands through the reins so that she’s holding on securely.

I was really pleased that throughout testing the Barbie DreamHorse, Barbie’s feet stayed in the stirrups and her hands stayed in the reins.

The Barbie DreamHorse is magnificent to look at. She has a soft mane and tale that children can brush with the brush accessory that comes with the DreamHorse.

The DreamHorse is made from plastic and is lightweight making her easy for children to pick up and move around. Her saddle is attached to her back (it can’t be removed) so she’s ready to go!

The reins can be removed from the DreamHorse should you wish to. The DreamHorse also comes with a bunch of carrots that children can use to feed her with. When feeding the DreamHorse, you can hear her crunching on the juicy carrots!

Underneath the Barbie DreamHorse is an on/off switch. By turning the DreamHorse on, she’ll start walking forward and neighing. Once she’s stopped, you can start playing!

The Barbie DreamHorse really brings the fun of horseback riding to life. She reacts to touch and sounds, and features more than 30 realistic reactions!

When you stroke the horse by her neck, she nuzzles in response to your touch and nods yes or no when you ask a question.

The DreamHorse can walk and turn 360 degrees too! By stroking her by the tail she’ll walk forwards.

You can also press the button behind the saddle to enter ‘fun mode’. Fun mode is when you can see the DreamHorse dance to three different songs.

To get her to dance simply enter fun mode and then stroke the DreamHorse by her tail for one song, then to hear the other two songs, stroke her just above her back leg on her right side, and then for the third song, stroke her just above her back leg on her left side.

I absolutely love the Barbie DreamHorse! It’s Barbie’s most interactive pet yet! Not only does the DreamHorse react to sounds and motion, but she also interacts with children via touch and sound sensor reaction.

Overall, a fantastic toy that children will love!
