AD| Personalised Children’s Book Review from In The Book
Reading has always been a passion of mine. The earliest book I remember falling in love with Enid Blyton’s ‘The Naughtiest Girl in School’. I read it so many times that eventually I knew it word for word by heart. As I grew up, my taste in books changed. My next favourite book was ‘Along Came A Spider’ by James Patterson. Nowadays I prefer a more lighthearted read such as a romantic comedy or something like ‘Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine’ by Gail Honeyman.
I think my love of reading has been passed onto my children. They in a home full of books and always see with a book in my hand so it comes as no surprise that they’re following in my footsteps.
At nine years old it can be hard to find books that pique their interest. It’s a fine balance of making sure a book is not too young for them, but also not too grown up. This is one of the reasons why I agreed in an instant to reviewing some books from In The Book.

After browsing In The Book’s website I chose a personalised conservation book and a personalised space book. M is passionate about saving the planet and animals. She’s always asking questions and telling me and her dad about how much plastic is in the ocean. That’s why the personalised conservation book is perfect for her.
The books arrived beautifully presented in a box.
The full title of the personalised conservation book is, ‘How to Save the Most Amazing Animals’. The personalised aspect is having my daughters name on the front cover and featured throughout the book. In addition, each page has a photo of my daughter on so she’s really ‘In The Book’!
An extra special addition is also the ability to add a personalised message inside the book.
This book lets children find out how they can save the most amazing animals from around the world. It’s filled with fun facts, great tips and some amazing endangered species.
There’s even room for your child to write down their own ideas about how they can help to save the most amazing animals.
The personalised space book also has my daughter’s name on the front cover along with a personalised message inside.
This book tells the story of a little alien called Ruby (my daughters name) who’s going on holiday with mum, dad and Zoggie the teddy. As well as being a story book, this book is filled with amazing facts!
My daughter’s favourite thing about this book was the pictures. This one in particular really made her giggle!
Both books are beautifully illustrated and so well written. They’re colourful and full of fun facts.
Overall, I would definitely recommend In The Book.
