AD| Bad Brownie Review – Brownie in a Mug Kit

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back to my blog and another fabulous review. This time I’ve reviewed something pretty tasty. Actually, scrap that. It was more than pretty tasty. It was full of gooey, chocolatey, deliciousness!

I reviewed a Bad Brownie brownies in a mug kit. Priced at just £15 which I think is amazing considering the fact that you get a mug and everything else you need to make three brownies in a mug.

Included in the brownie in a mug kit you will find:

• 1 Bad Brownie mug
• 3 packs of brownie mix
• 3 flavour pots – ours were salted caramel, biscoff and a mixture of chocolate drops

Of course you also get a handy instruction leaflet too.

The brownie in a mug kit is the perfect after work or weekend treat and they’re so quick and easy to make. To start with you just need to melt 30g of butter in the microwave. This took around 12 seconds.

Then you need to add one whole packet of brownie mixture to your mug and give it a good stir.

It gets pretty thick and goopy, but don’t worry! It’s meant to be like that at this stage!

Then you need to add 30ml of milk. I found using those little medicine cups that come with children’s medicine perfect for measuring out the milk! Then just give it another mix with a spoon.

Now this is the hard part! Choosing which flavour pot to use! Our twins made one brownie in a mug each. One of my girls chose the caramel flavour pot, pictured below. I probably would have gone with caramel too! My other daughter chose the biscoff flavour pot.

You don’t need to mix the flavour pot. It’s recommended in the instructions that you just give it a stir two or three times and push it below the surface. Then you just need to pop it into the microwave for 1 minute (based on a 900 watt microwave). You may need to put yours in the microwave for a bit longer if it’s less powerful than 900w. You’ll know when your brownie in a mug is ready as it’ll look something like this…

Pictured below is the biscoff brownie in a mug. My daughter let me have one spoonful and I can confirm it was absolutely amazing!

Pictured below is the caramel brownie in a mug and I have to admit this is definitely my favourite flavour. Both brownies were gooey, full of chocolatey goodness and so tasty!

I would definitely buy this brownie in a mug kit for myself or as a gift for someone else. I think it’s great value for money at just £15. It’s the perfect thing to have stashed away in your cupboard and roll out if you want a quick chocolate fix but you just can’t be bothered to make a whole tray. Or maybe send it as a gift to someone who loves brownies but just can’t cook! It’s great as a fun kids activity – it’s super easy and takes no time  – perfect for those impatient little tearaways!
