3 Simple Tips to Stop Homework Wars
Homework can feel like a very stressful time, but it will be a big part of what your child does when they head to school. Different schools have varying rules on what they will provide children with in terms of homework, but it is designed to help children progress in their current studies. To stop your child becoming a problem, here are 3 tips to help them with their homework woes.

1. Working together on assignments
A lot of times your child is going to have moments where the homework is just too much. This is when your child will show signs of disappointment and refusal to complete work. If you are able to step in and show them how to complete things, instead of letting your child complain and never finish their homework. Be reasonable with your child, but still ensure that they are in control.
2. Take breaks
While it feels counterintuitive to do this, having a break just allows your child to decompress and learn about what they can do to make things better. It may well be that your child is overwhelmed with what they’ve been asked to do and needs a bit more time to figure things out. It can be a lot for children to pick up at once, sometimes, so having time to reflect on what they’ve learnt can be just as valuable.
3. Seek the help of a tutor
A tutor could really help your child with what they need to do in terms of managing expectations and getting through those tough bits of homework. A tutor can give your child a new perspective that will help with their engagement and interest in different subjects, especially if they are ones your child hasn’t enjoyed lately. This also removes the arduous task of getting your child to do their homework unsupervised – they have a lot more reason to try their best with a tutor.
