Pipity Stationary

Pipity Stationary for Kids Review

October 4, 2016

My kids love stationary. Almost as much as I love stationary! They’re always drawing something and I’ve lost count of how many coloured pencils, crayons and felt pens they have!

M really enjoys cutting paper with scissors. I think she just likes the mess it creates! R really enjoys drawing pictures and will happily sit for a good hour drawing away!

That’s why we love Pipity. Pipity whose tagline is ‘making life colourful wherever you go’, was created to help spark children’s imaginations and keep them creatively busy.

They have a huge range of products and we were lucky enough to be sent some. We were sent two Pipity Activity Cases, two Pipity Portfolios and a selection of activity books.

Pipity Stationary

The thing that I really like about Pipity is that they’ve made it really easy for you to bring everything with you. The activity case has a carry strap, and the portfolio has a handle. There’s plenty of room inside to store pictures and books.

Talking of books I thought I’d write about the activity books first. We received:

  • 14 Funtastic Festive Thank Yous! (For ages 5+
  • Pipity Puppet Shows (For ages 6+)
  • On-The-Go Games (For ages 6+)
  • Dress-Up Dolls (For ages 6+)
  • Paper Pad (For ages 6+)

Now our twins are four, well almost five years old and most of the activities in the books they can do themselves, although they do need a little help for some of them.

Our favourite is the Pipity Puppet Shows book. Inside this book are two shows: 3 Little Pigs and Pipity Pirates. The idea is quite simple really. You simply cut the puppets out and colour them in, along with the scenery and then stick down. I’d use sellotape as glue doesn’t hold as well!

Children can then put the puppets on their hands and act out their show. I really like that there are scripts for the plays, but of course you can make your own up if you want too. There’s also an invite to the show which children can fill in with the time and place of the show, along with the names of those starring in the show.

You even get tickets to hand out to all your friends and family! These books are so well thought out and include everything you need to put on your very own show.

Next up we have the 14 Funtastic Festive Thank Yous! We’re all big on please and thank you in our house, so this book is very welcome in our home! It’s quite simply really, inside are 14 different festive thank you cards for children to colour in.On the back of each card is a place to affix a stamp, plus some prompts to give children ideas of what they can write such as ‘Dear…’, ‘Thank you for…’, etc.

Another of our favourite books is the Dress-Up Dolls book. Inside are three girl paper dolls and one boy paper doll. I would really have liked to have seen more boy dolls though.

You simply cut the dolls out, colour them in and then stick them into a cone shape so that they stand up. Children can then use the 30 outfits included to dress their dolls up. After choosing their chosen outfit, children can colour them and stick them together into a cone shape. Then all they need to do is pop their doll into their new outfit! This book provides lots of creative play and it certainly is fun!

Last, but not least the On-The-Go Games book. I have to say that this book is fun for adults as well as children! There are lots of different games such as codebreaker, battleships, 4 in a row, word lock and guess who.

Each game comes with instructions and there is always more than one board game so children can have multiple games. This book is great for long car trips, for taking on aeroplanes or just for taking over your best mates house!

Moving on, we have the Pipity Activity Case. Available in a choice of pin or blue, each bag comes with it’s very own carry strap making it easy to take out and about.

Inside Pipity Case

The Pipity Activity Case is designed in such a way that it can be used easily when in a car, train or plane. It has handy elasticated straps to hold everything in place ensuring that nothing will fall out, plus it packs flat for neat tidying away.

Everything inside is of a good quality and I the carry cases themselves are strong and durable. The outside is also wipe clean which always good!

Next up we have the very handy Pipity Portfolio. If your children are anything like mine, they’ll want to keep all of their creations. The trouble is where are you meant to keep them all? In our case, they’re piled up on the dining room table. Well, no more!

Pipity Portfolio

The Pipity Portfolio is easy for children to open with the cord keeping it closed securely to ensure nothing falls out. The carry handle is also perfect for on the go.

Plus there’s loads of room for your child to store all of their beloved drawings and Pipity books!

Overall, I have to admit that I’m very impressed with the range of products available from Pipity. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into each product and they’re all really well made.

The Pipity Activity is £24.99 which I do think is good for value as you not only get the contents inside, but also the bag to keep everything in.

The Portfolio is £7.50 and the activity books are £4.99. Pipity also do party packages for orders over £10 so that’s something to bear in mind if you have any upcoming birthday parties to organise!

For the purpose of this review we were sent the above products. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
