My First Fundraising Event: An Update

As many people know I’ll be running the London Marathon next year for WellChild, the national charity for sick children. As part of accepting a charity place with WellChild I have a fundraising target of £1,600. I made the first donation of £100 to confirm my place, and I have since raised a good amount already through online donations, selling second hand goods, and from making crafts and selling them. I’m running London Marathon 2019!

When I started running back in March 2017, I never imagined that one day I would run a half marathon, but that’s exactly what I’ve done! Last year I completed the Cardiff Half Marathon in 2 hours 29 minutes. This year, I’ll be running the Cardiff Half Marathon again with my step-daughter, and I’m really looking forward to it, although I have to admit that I’m hoping to run it even quicker this year!
