Hello, and welcome back to my blog! Thanks for popping over! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and I wish you a happy new year!
I’m feeling a bit at odds at the moment. It’s that strange in-between feeling. I’ve had around two weeks off work and blogging, so I’m finding that it’s taking me a while to get back into the swing of things.
Whilst work and blogging was firmly on the back burner, my London marathon training certainly wasn’t. I’ve already clocked up 31 kilometres in training this year, in addition to Pump and Barre class.
I still can’t quite believe that this is the year I’ll actually be completing the London Marathon! It still feels very surreal!
Anyway! As the title of this post says, Christmas is very much over, and we are definitely getting back to some form of normality.
Our girls returned to school yesterday, and it was clear to see that they were excited to see all of their friends again!
I also returned to work yesterday, although with less enthusiasm than our girls returning to school!
We had a lovely Christmas spent at home watching our twins open and play with their gifts, as well as spending time with family and eating far too much food!
We didn’t do anything for New Years Eve, we rarely do, and to be honest my husband and I were in bed just before 11pm! I slept soundly thanks to my trusty ear plugs, which is less than can be said for my husband who spent most of the night trying to doze off in between the sound of fireworks going off!
I also celebrated my birthday at the beginning of January, and had a lovely afternoon tea in a place called Octavo’s Book Cafe & Wine Bar. You can read all about that in yesterday’s blog post!
Now that normality has almost resumed itself, what do I hope 2019 has in store for us?
Well, all I really want is a happy and healthy year for everyone!
Thanks for reading!
