London Marathon 2019: Fundraising Update

It’s been almost one month since my first fundraising update so I thought I’d write another update with you to share my progress.

In my last fundraising post, which you can read here, I shared the amazing news that I’d managed to raise £455.18. That’s 28% of my £1,600 fundraising target for WellChild.

I’d managed to raise this amount my donating the first £100 myself, and then by sharing my fundraising page with friends and family. This saw some online donations come in. I also sold some items that I no longer needed, and made some crafts to sell. My biggest fundraiser though was my first event which was a family magic show. This raised an amazing £192.68.

Since my last update, I’m pleased to say that I’ve now crossed the half way point and have raised 61% of my £1,600, bringing my total up to £976.50.

Here’s a breakdown of my fundraising to date:

£100 – My donation

£135 – Online donations

£142.50 – Selling things

£192.68 – Magic Show

£250.00 – Local business sponsorship (see below for more info)

£60.82 – Coffee morning

£95.50 – Bucket collection in local garden centre

So, as you can see, I’m making good progress. I have one more bucket collection this month in local shops, and I’m hoping to organise some more events and raffles too.
