Brilliant Mum Feature Week 82

Brilliant Mum Feature

Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.

If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.

Brilliant Mum Feature

This week our brilliant mum feature is Emma who blogs at All Things Emma Dunn.

Emma is 30 years old, has a soon to be 13yr old and is currently 30 weeks pregnant. Emma says she has done both pregnancies alone with no support from the guys, and its better that way. Her son is diagnosed with ADHD, social communication disorder, and a type of autism. Emma is classed as his carer. Emma fell pregnant when she was 17, and says she didn’t expect to be a mum so young, let alone be doing it alone. She’s dated since, but no one worth mentioning. Emma likes going to spas, the theatre, holidays and cinema.

Thanks for taking part Emma!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?

Yes.

How did you feel when your children were born?

Shocked and happy to be a mum but felt chucked in and alone. Even being 31 weeks pregnant now I feel alone and find it difficult to meet other mums locally.

What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?

The hugs and help my son gives me, because off his problems these can be very rare.

What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?

Probably when people think I am my sons sister and they ask to talk to his mum!

Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?

Just the normal boy issues teaching how to clean, wash and toilet, but luckily my brother helps with that.

What are your dreams and hopes for your children?

They do the best they can with life, and I’ve told my son as long as he does well in maths and english, I’m not too bothered about the rest.

If you’ve been featured as a brilliant mum and would like to share this badge on your blog, please do!
