The North Face Fleece & Rucksack Review from Simply Hike

I’ve recently teamed up with Simply Hike to review some products from The North Face range. I chose to review The North Face 100 Glacier Full Zip Fleece, and The North Face Electra Rucksack in Black Rose Gold.

First up we have The North Face Women’s 100 Glacier Full Zip Fleece in black. Available online from Simply Hike for £43.99, this fleece is the perfect choice for a day in the great outdoors in any weather.

It’s very soft to touch, thick and very warm. It makes the perfect midlayer thanks to its lightweight, soft and breathable micro fleece fabric. You can wear it on its own if the temperature is warm enough, plus this cosy fleece will also protect you from the suns harmful rays with a UPF 30+.

When it comes to fleeces I usually opt for a half zip, but I couldn’t resist a change and opted for a full length zip. I also really like that this fleece has two zipped hand pockets which are perfect for keeping your belongings such as loose change and a mobile phone safe whilst you travel.

This soft, warm fleece has zip-in-compatible integration with complementing The North Face garments, and it’s made from 159.0 g/m² – Polartec® 100% Recycled Polyester. Polartec® is available in a lightweight, midweight and heavyweight fleece and offers warmth, comfort and breathability, making it an ideal mid-layer for a range of activities.

Next up we have The North Face Women’s Electra Rucksack. This costs £52.00 to buy from Simply Hike. I’ll be honest and admit that I did think the rucksack was going to bigger than what it is. Even though it’s on the small side, it’s still a great rucksack and there’s no doubt that it’s very well made.

There’s a small pocket to the side on front of the rucksack, and a fleece-lined pocket on top of the bag too.

In fron of the pocket on the top, there’s also a handy carry handle which you can use to either carry the bag or hang it up.

The main compartment of the bag is split into two by a grey fleecy divide. The back part is perfect for storing a laptop or iPad.

As you can see inside the bag, there’s not a great amount of room, but if you were going out for the day with the kids to a farm, it’d be perfect to store your lunch, wet wipes and some drinks etc.

I really like the rose gold zips and the pink and grey interior of the bag.

Overall, I’m very happy with both the fleece and rucksack.

For the purpose of this review I was sent the above products free of charge. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
