SlimFast Update Month 1

It’s now been one month since I started using SlimFast and following their plan to lose weight. I wrote last month about how I was lucky enough to be invited to meet SlimFast along with their brand ambassador, Alexandra Burke, for lunch and to find out more about their products. I learnt so much at the meeting and ever since, I’ve had so much fun exploring all the different foods that their range offers. From the porridges for breakfast, (golden syrup is my favourite), to the snacks, meal replacement bars, shakes and noodle pots, I love them all! I’m finding… [Read More]

Diet vs. Exercise: Which Is More Important For Weight Loss?

You have two things that you want to prioritise. Achieving your weight loss goals. Living every other aspect of your life. In a perfect world, these wouldn’t rub up against one another. Sure, there are women who manage to combine their health and fitness concerns alongside living a functional adult life – and those women are Heroes, who deserve every medal the world can throw at them. For the rest of us, life doesn’t quite tend to balance in the same way. Losing Weight Takes Time Nothing good happens quickly. That’s not in the sense of “slow and steady weight… [Read More]

A workout a day! Update #2

I’m still too scared to look at the scales. Mainly because last week wasn’t great in terms of food. The weekend before last saw me eating birthday cake, too much chocolate and generally just too much rubbish! However from Tuesday onwards all has gone well on the healthy eating front, so I’m hoping this will continue! Now for the honest part. I haven’t done a workout a day. Sorry to disappoint! I did go for a long two hour walk on Sunday with my husband and our girls so that was really nice, even if it did wear me out!… [Read More]

Weight Loss Journey: Two Months In

I’m now just over two months into my weight loss journey. I hate calling it a ‘weight loss journey’, but essentially I guess that’s what it is. It’s also about me setting a good example to my children by ensuring that I eat well and take part in regular exercise. Of course this also means ensuring my children eat well and lead active lives themselves. That’s not too hard to be honest as they’re always running around, asking to come for a run with me and doing yoga poses with their daddy! So in my last update, which you can… [Read More]

Results with Lucy: Intro Post!

I’ve blogged previously about wanting to lose weight. I always start off well by eating healthily and exercising regularly, but within the first 8 weeks seem to lose motivation. I think in order for me to be successful I need proper support in terms of knowing what I should and shouldn’t be eating, but also knowing what exercises are best for the areas that I want to target. Over the next three months I’ll be reviewing the Results with Lucy New Beginnings programme and I’m pretty excited. Before I go into any more detail about the plan here is my… [Read More]

Ozeri Weight Master II 200kg Digital Bathroom Scale with BMI Review

I was recently sent an Ozeri Weight Master II 200kg Digital Bathroom Scale with BMI and Weight Change Detection to review. My current scales are digital, but they just display my weight. The innovative weight master scales do so much more than that. Each person in your household can have their own profile (maximum of six profiles) so it’s easy for every individual to track their weight and monitor their progress. Setting up the scales is easy. You simply pull the tab out of the back and then lay them on the floor. It’s suggested that you lay them on a hard… [Read More]

Diet Chef Review: Week 4

It’s my last week of Diet Chef. In my last update I expressed that I felt a little bored with the options I had chosen for my evening meals. This hasn’t changed, but I think if I were to continue or if I were to pay for Diet Chef myself I would definitely spend a little more time choosing my meals and ensuring that I had enough variety. In total I’ve lost 8lbs in 4 weeks, which when you think about is pretty good. That’s just over half a stone. I haven’t lost any weight since last week, which again is a… [Read More]

Diet Chef. Week 2 Results

After last weeks amazing 7lb loss I wondered whether I would see any weight loss this week. I’ve decided not to tell you what I’ve been eating every day because a lot of the food is pretty much the same as last week, but anything I haven’t written about before I will share with you. Following on from last weeks post a few people left some comments asking what to do about eating out and that they thought Diet Chef was expensive. With regard to eating out Diet Chef advise to just eat normally. Obviously I would take this to… [Read More]

Diet Chef Review: Week 1 Results!

2014 started off well for me. I felt motivated about losing weight and I’d planned ahead about how I was going to achieve my target of losing 1½ to 2 stone. At 5”5 and 11stone, my BMI was 26 which is classed as overweight. Not massively overweight, but just on end of the healthy weight scale and the very beginning of the overweight scale. I’d received a new 2-in-1 cross trainer and exercise bike, as well as some dumbbells, and I’d bought myself a kettle bell too. I found an online weight loss programme that suited me and my needs… [Read More]
