Why I will be taking my children on holiday during term time

There’s been a lot of debate recently about taking children out of school during term time to go on holiday. Up until a few weeks ago, it wasn’t really something that crossed my mind. As this is the first year that our children are in full time school, it’s never been an issue before, but now that it is, I’ve found myself on the side of those who want to be able to take their children… [Read More]

Review: Family Life Coma Gran, Majorca

Every year we go on one family holiday abroad. We tend to book an all-inclusive package holiday with Thomson as we’ve been on holiday with them a few times previously, and have always had a good experience. This year was no exception. We booked our family holiday to Majorca for seven days and after browsing the Thomson website in search of the ‘perfect family friendly hotel’ I found the Family Life Coma Gran. Located in Sa Coma, which sits on Majorca’s east coast, the Coma Gran is just a stone’s throw away from the beach. It’s also situated on the… [Read More]

Following on from my last post about our family holiday in Majorca, this is part two! Day Four After a busy day yesterday at Marineland, we decided to have a lazy day by the pool today. I always love that I can have a bit of a lie in on holiday, because the girls end up going to bed later than usual which means they usually wake up… [Read More]

Our family holiday to Majorca. Part One!

Going on holiday is something that my husband and I have always enjoyed doing. Long before we had children, we’d ventured to Marrakech, Valencia, Barcelona, Prague, Rome, and many other wonderful places. Holidaying with children is slightly different to a city break though! However it’s even more fun! For our last three holidays abroad we chose to book an all inclusive package deal with Thomson. We’ve always had a good experience with them so this year was no exception in booking our holiday with them. We usually go to Menorca, but this time around we decided that we wanted something… [Read More]

Travelling Abroad with Twins

We’ve recently returned from a holiday abroad with our four year old twin girls. This was the third time that they’d been on an aeroplane, so they’re pretty used to flying now. The first time my husband and I took our girls abroad was in 2013 when they were just 18 months old. We went to Menorca and then returned again in 2015. This year we decided to go to Majorca for a change, although I have to say overall I think I prefer Menorca as the weather was definitely warmer! Travelling abroad with twins can be hard work, and… [Read More]
