There are few things in life that I like to collect, but the things I do are very much loved. What am I talking about? Swimsuits! I love a good swimsuit, so much so that I’m starting to build up quite the collection!
I love to have plenty of choice, but also plenty of support and a swimsuit that holds me in all the right places. I have a mummy tummy and I’m very proud of it, but when I’m on holiday by the swimming pool or laying on a sandy beach, I feel most confident knowing that my mummy tummy is safely covered up!
I was recently asked to choose a swimsuit to review from UK Swimwear. Now when it comes to swimwear, I do like to keep it simple. I tend to opt for dark colours and a flattering shape. As such I chose to review the Gottex Profile Waterfall Swimsuit in black.
This swimsuit is available in three colours: black, jade or true blue, and it comes in the following sizes: UK 12 D Cup, UK 14 D Cup, UK 16 D Cup and UK 18 D Cup. I opted for the UK 12 D Cup. I’m usually a DD, but this swimsuit fits well.
The Gottex Profile Waterfall Swimsuit costs £94.95. Whilst this is the most expensive swimsuit I’ve ever owned I can certainly understand the price tag.
The flattering shirred waist and the ‘V’ neckline really helps to make this swimsuit very flattering. As mentioned above I have a bit of a mummy tummy, but this swimsuits offers tummy smoothing and it does this very well!
It’s one of the most comfortable swimsuits I’ve ever worn. It’s feels secure, fits well and also has adjustable straps, as well as soft cups for added comfort. I love the shape of the back of the swimsuit too.
This piece was designed with shaping in mind. The waterfall on the front has built in tummy control and the intricate knotted effect in the centre of the design is able to give you a more sculpted figure visually without having to constrain your figure.
In addition to the swimsuit, I was also asked to choose a pair of leggings to review. I like leggings as I think they’re a great alternative to jeans and they can be worn with almost anything.
I chose a pair of Ambra Killer Figure Waist Killer Leggings which cost £16.99. I opted for a size 12-14 as I’m usually a 12. These leggings are very well fitting! It took me a bit longer than it usually would to get these on as they are fitted, but once on they’re very comfortable.
They aim to flatten the tummy by smoothing and toning, plus they offer light compression. They’re made from 85% Nylon, 10% Eslastane and 5% cotton. These leggings look great and definitely hold you in all the right places. They’re stylish and are ideal for bringing a shaping effect to your outfit.
The website does state they they’re ideal as outerwear for the gym, but I’d have to disagree as they are pretty see through on the ‘bum region’! I thought I had them on the wrong way round so switched them over and they were still see through! Aside from this though, they are a great pair of leggings to team up with a tunic, long vest or dress.
Overall, I’m pleased with both of these items.
For the purpose of this review I was sent the above two items. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
