Brilliant Mum Feature Week 49

March 22, 2018

Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.

If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.

Brilliant Mum Feature

This week our brilliant mum feature is Jacqueline from Just Add Ginger.

Jacqueline is 31 years old, married and has a son who’s nearly 10 months old. She’s a full time mum and in her spare time, she loves focusing on her blog and You Tube channel, spending time outdoors, enjoying good food and drink and spreading the word about the New Ways Network – a FB community group she’s set up for disabled parents.

Thanks for taking part Jacqueline!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?

I found it all a bit surreal (I had had diamorphine during labour). Once it had all sunk in I felt really overwhelmed, a little scared, and really excited!

How did you feel when your children were born?

Smashing all everyday parenting tasks one handed ( I am a disabled parent).

What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?

My LO is always great at comedic timing. When my husband and I aren’t in the best of moods with each other he will break wind, or blow raspberries. He’s always making us smile with his cheeky character.

What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?

Not yet – sometimes there are situations where I don’t think I’ll be able to do something but then I’ll surprise myself and achieve it with ease.

Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?

To grow up feeling loved and happy.

What are your dreams and hopes for your children?
