Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.

Brilliant Mum Feature

This week our brilliant mum feature is Claire who blogs at Bumps Babies Tots and Teens Mummy Diaries. Claire is 33 years old, married and from Darlington. She’s mummy to 5 boys aged 15, 12, 7, 5 and 3. Claire is self employed and has her my own childminding business in which her husband acts as her assistant. In her spare time, Claire enjoys going to the gym, blogging, and arts and crafts.

Thanks for taking part Claire!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?

Oh yes!

How did you feel when your children were born?

All my boys births were totally different. My first labour was 21hours. My 2nd was 4 hours. My 3rd I was induced and I’d never do it again. my 4th was very fast and 5th was nearly born in a&e. All were natural births with no assistance or pain relief.

What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?

Watching my boys grow and become well mannered little boys that do well at school. Knowing that I’m doing everything I can to set them in the right path through life. Plus knowing that each of them have each other’s back and we all love each other unconditionally

What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?

There’s been so many. My boys make me laugh everyday.

Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?

Yes. My 7 year old has SEN. His behaviour can be challenging as he is highly intelligent but he has immature social and emotional development, anxiety and sensory issues.

What are your dreams and hopes for your children?

For my boys to be happy in whatever they choose to do in the future. For them to want to achieve for themselves, to do the best for them. To be comfortable with themselves and not be afraid to be different. Embrace their individuality. To work for and appreciate everything.

You can find Claire online here.
