Thanks for taking part Laura!
Have you always wanted to be a mum?
Always. I knew I was meant to be a mum from a young age.
How did you feel when your children were born?
I was on love with my little boy from the very moment I took the pregnancy test, I knew he was a boy called Jack. He was born at 28 + 6 via csection due to pre-eclampsia and hellp syndrome. He was in the nicu for 3 months and came home on oxygen until 7.5 months. Lots of ups and downs but now healthy.
What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?
Having our first cuddle at a week old finally felt like a mummy and that he was mine not the nurses’. Bringing home home from the nicu at 3 months old and I no longer had to leave my heart and soul behind every night. And we celebrated with champagne when he finally came off oxygen full time at 7.5 months!
What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?
Loads now that he’s a toddler, he’s figured out what makes us laugh and plays on it, and his laugh is contagious!
Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?
When I was discharged from hospital following the birth and having to go home with out him. There are no words to explain how many pieces my heart broke into.
What are your dreams and hopes for your children?
For him to always remain healthy and happy, to be kind and have fun with loved ones.
