Hello and welcome to the Brilliant Mum Feature. Once a week I will be featuring one mum in a bid to find out more about them and their lives.
If you’d like to take part in this series, simply fill in this form.
This week our brilliant mum feature is Megan who blogs at Motherhood in London.
Megan is a stay at home mum, and has just moved to London from Austin, TX. She’s just trying to figure out life as a new mum to a 13 month old in a new country! Megan moved here with her husband 5 months ago! She loves to sing and just started an a cappella group in London! She’s also a former music teacher for children as well.
Thanks for taking part Megan!
Have you always wanted to be a mum?
How did you feel when your children were born?
I felt so relieved! I had an HG Pregnancy and was severely sick for all nine months. I had an all natural born after 55 hours of labor, so the relief was like nothing I have ever experienced!
What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?
Watching my baby grow into a little person and seeing her confidence shine through. She is a social, sweet, and very active kid, so the quiet cuddles are what I enjoy most since they’re rare!
What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?
Honestly being projectile vomited on after a 10 hour flight or having to walk through the airport with a clothes less baby after being peed on! Those are the moments when I just have to shake my head and laugh because otherwise I would cry!
Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?
Yes, my child is a mover, so she wants to run around everywhere we go! It is a challenge because she is being very vocal about it.
What are your dreams and hopes for your children?
I hope for my child to grow up to be a happy, capable, and confident adult. I want her to lead with her heart and to find someone to love and love her back.
