Knowing what I know now....

Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Knowing what I know now about being a twin parent, I thought I would share with you what I would do differently if I could start again!

* Put our girls in the same moses basket/cot for naps and bedtime. This is so they get used to each others noise
* Only use a swaddle for the first 8 weeks
* Put our girls down to sleep awake
* Go to a baby group as soon as you can
* Try and get out most days. Even if it's just for a walk
* Accept all the help you can get
* Trust your instincts
* Take a deep breath!

What would you do differently if you could start over again?

  1. Was just wondering why you say not to swaddle past 8 weeks? I have been wondering when I should stop swaddling my little boy, he is ten weeks today. Thanks for the input!

  2. Apparently after two months of age, your baby should be more adjusted to the outside world as oppose to the womb and they need to have the ability to move around and self soothe. We swaddled our girls until 10/11 months and they don't self soothe 80% of the time. They're 11 months and we still rock them to sleep. Hope this helps an congratulations on the arrival of your little boy xx
